Over 35 years of dedication to the medical profession, Dr. Nguyen Van Ut has both cured patients and spent time on researching, creating useful devices to serve the career in saving patients.
Dr. Nguyen Van Ut is currently the Director of Vo Truong Toan University Hospital, Deputy Dean of the Medical Faculty of Vo Truong Toan University, makes colleagues and many people admire for his highly applicable inventions to help increase workforce productivity and enhance medical examination and treatment quality at Vo Truong Toan University Hospital.
Although he is a amateur in the field of engineering, Dr. Nguyen Van Ut is not only tinkers with and researched to produce many useful products and equipment in the medical but he also inspires creativity for colleagues.
Doctor Ut and his associates are known as the “fathers” of many products that effectively serve the prevention of epidemics such as automatic sensor hand washing machine system, disinfecting money by ultraviolet and ozone Safe, SARS-CoV-2 test chamber,
Dr. Ut has carried out many researches and creations, each product has its own value, the most important is to help patients and pass it on to the next generation; he was the most interested in the treatment of intussusception by air intubation device and the treatment of inguinal hernia in children by home-made needle. Those two creations, which he used to perform at Hau Giang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital and now is Vo Truong Toan University.
There are many devices for treatment of intussusception by air intubation but there is no product with a system to measure and adjust the flow at will.
The new device has lower pressure but gives good results. The device for treatment of intussusception by air is about 20 million VND – it is lower than others in the market (about 200 million VND). All of the products he makes are currently being transferred to medical facilities inside and outside the province to serve medical examination and treatment; currently Dr.Ut does not intend to commercialize these products.
It is difficult to tell the whole story of Doctor Ut who is creative and passionate in his profession in the loving land of Hau Giang. He is still researching, woking day and night to come up with products, works and initiatives to help the community, a quiet but noble.
For Dr. Ut, the development of dedication to medicine is a non-stop journey despite difficulties and hardships; Vo Truong Toan University is the only university in Hau Giang province that has just trained doctors and has a hospital serving medical examination and treatment for people in the province and neighboring areas. That’s why Vo Truong Toan University Hospital is a place where he can both help patients and teach medicine to future young doctors.
